Sang Kim (Principal)
ASK Architects, established in 2022 by Sang Kim in Seoul, is a practice driven by architectural innovation and ambition. Sang graduated with First-Class Honours in both a Bachelor’s and Master’s in Architecture from the University of Auckland and is a registered architect in the Netherlands.
Sang’s professional foundation was shaped at OMA, the globally acclaimed architecture office led by Rem Koolhaas. At OMA, he contributed to and led a series of transformative projects, including the Bibliothèque Alexis de Tocqueville (2010), Lab City CentraleSupélec (2012), the Jean Jacques Bosc Bridge in Bordeaux (2013), the Qatar Cultural and Sports Hub (2014), and the Audrey Irmas Pavilion in Los Angeles (2015).
In Korea, Sang has directed award-winning projects spanning large-scale condominium developments, a public library, and a compact yet striking office building (FNL HQ), now nearing completion.
ASK Architects embodies a vision to challenge conventional typologies, crafting spaces that respond to evolving cultural and functional demands. The studio’s work seeks to reimagine the built environment, shaping not only the cities of tomorrow but also the cultural and social fabric that defines them.
